The Heron Print is an original design made fully by hand (by me!). I sketched and then carved this image out of a linoleum block, and then hand printed it on heavyweight paper.
This Heron is a black line lino print, as opposed to her sister “Heron Moonlight” which is a white line print. The prints complement each other in their opposites
of negative and positive space.
Outside of being an artist I am a boat captain and I live on my own sailboat. Hearing the fish jump while relaxing in the cockpit is one of my favorite things. All of my art is inspired by the life that I live on the water.
The dimensions of the print are 12”x9”.
Because I print everything by hand there may be slight differences between each card, and that is part of the beauty of printmaking!
