5 Women Worth Sharing

This week instead of reflecting on my own ideas from the week, I want to share the work of other women who have inspired me in huge ways. In honor of Women’s Month I want to say thank you to all of the women who I’ve had the privledge to witness lead with such power and grace.

  1. [book] Set Boundaries, Find Peace by Nedra Glover Tawwab.

This book really reframed the way that I communicate my needs to others. I was amazed to realize how many problems in my life could be solved by setting more clear boundaries.

  1. [podcast episode] On The Wind Podcast with Tracy Edwards of Maiden (interviewed by Emma Garschagen)

This is a conversation that Ive recommended before in a blog post about women in leadership. Tracy Edwards words really speak to me in a lot of ways and highly reccomend it to anyone, especially people in leadership positions (and sailors of course!!)

  1. [facebook live event] Heartfelt Conversations With Ferene Paris Meyer and guests, with Burlington REIB

In honor of Women’s Month Burlington REIB (Racial Equity, Inclusion & Belonging) Office has organized a series of conversations, hosted by Ferene Paris Meyer of All Heart Inspirations. These conversations happen three times a week (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday). I have discovered some really amazing and interesting women through this series, so be sure to check out the recordings.

  1. [podcast] Maintenance Phase – Aubrey Gordon and Michael Hobbes

This podcast is super interesting to me and has made me really rethink the wellness industry in many different ways. The hosts present the importance of not taking everything at face value, and will really make you contemplate previously held beliefs. Aubrey Gordon and Michael Hobbes are a great duo, and to clarify – Michael Hobbes is not a women; he gets to be in this list anyway because I love this podcast.

  1. [artist] Gwenn Seemel

Not only is her art beautiful, but her blog is really worth reading (or listening to!). She is a wonderful example of an artist who stands behind their values and shows up with emotion.
